Building a website is not as straight forward as people may think.
Depending upon what you want (bells and whistles), and the time it takes to implement everything you want, only then, will you get an idea of what the cost will be.
If you want a basic website, it will cost less than $1000. A basic eCommerce website, will cost you approximately $3,000 – $4,000.
It all depends though, on your requirements.

The WordPress Platform core files (and Plugins) are updated quite regularly, and this can sometimes ‘break’ themes and / or plugins. A simple tweak in a few lines of code generally fixes any issues and doesn’t take long.
And, as much as I’d like to take your money, I am more than happy to teach clients how to perform minor changes to their websites – at no cost.
